Dr. K. K Sarpong’s battle call of “support to win” has whipped
up so much enthusiasm among Kotoko supporters that, they are
speedily living up to their responsibilities as the backbone on
the club.
Not long ago, the Ashanti Regional Circles
Council settled the entire camping bills for the second week Glo
premiership match against AshGold at the Baba Yara Stadium. Days
after, the Fabulous Ladies of Kumasi presented Gh˘200 as their widow’s mite
towards the Adako Jachie Training Grounds project..
During recess of the Kotoko-Dunkwa United
practice match at the Baba Yara Stadium last Wednesday,
executive members of the Warriors Club led by their Chairman
Yeboah Asuamah presented a payment voucher to cover all the fuel
needs of the club to and from upcoming match against Berekum
Arsenal in Berekum on Sunday.
Doing the presentation, Chairman Yeboah
Asuamah commended management for the sound footing on which they
are steering the affairs of the club that has culminated in the
club firmly rooted on top of the Premier League log.
“As supporters, it is our duty to be behind
the team at all times and we of the Warriors Club firmly pledge
our unflinching support and backing to management to succeed.
When Kotoko succeeds at the end of it all, we will join hands as
members of one family to celebrate” he added.
Other members of the Warriors club who were
present at the handing over were Alhaji Ali Maradona, Peter
Kenneth Ofori, Kwame Adu Darko, Sarfo Butcher and Prince
Agyapong (J.J).
On behalf of the Executive Chairman,
Administrative Manager, Benjamin Nti thanked the Warriors for
their support to the club and urged all other supporters be they
individuals or groups to make their presence felt directly with
the managers of the club by making donations and contributions
to the club.
“Fuelling of vehicles for matches and
training remains one of the tasking recurrent expenditures we
have had to endure. It is therefore a happy thing that you have
rightly identified our need and have contributed to easing it on
us”.
Ben Nti thanked them and jokingly made an
appeal: “we hope this will not be the last time we will be
receiving such vouchers from you. If fuelling the bus weekly
would be a bother to you, it will not be a bad idea to fuel the
team bus every other week”.
