Towering striker, Ahmed Toure was rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital after the Kotoko-New Edubiase match at Bekwai.

He suffered a shoulder injury and was in severe pain.

Toure went for an aerial challenge for the ball and fell on the left shoulder.

Team doctor, Kwaku Boateng, later told Kotoko Express that x-rays and scans conducted on the player indicated no major danger.

"There are no broken bones, only a disturbance of the muscle hence the severe pain Toure is suffering".

"He will surely overcome the pain after a day or two. In the mean time, we are monitoring him, just in case".

The 9th week defeat is Kotoko's first in the 2011/12 season.
