Soulama expects more difficult
games

Nearly a week after the difficult 1-0 win over Mighty Jets,
goalkeeper Soulama Abdoulaye has disclosed that
he expects more difficult games for
Kotoko.
In
the view of the Burkinabe, the Kotoko-Mighty Jets clash was just
one of the many difficult encounters that Kotoko would be
encountering and continued that none of the remaining 24 matches
would be different from the sixth week game last week.
A
determined Mighty Jets side gave Kotoko a good run for their
money almost ending the game 0-0 but a perfect late minute
header by Nafiu Idrissu gave Kotoko the match winner. Speaking
in an interview on that match and other games to come, Soulama
Abdoulaye told Kotoko Express that he expects the remaining
matches to be tougher than what has been witnessed.
“Mighty Jets stretched us. We prepared well for them. They were
difficult to beat. I know that we will have more difficult
matches. We have to do our best to win” said the goalkeeper who
has kept the post well in the six matches. “We do not have to
think any game will be easy” he added.
“All the teams prepare very well for Kotoko. That is why I
expect every game to be hard. We have to train harder, we have
to work harder; more than our opponents to win” he argued.
Soulama Abdoulaye further predicted that with hard work, Kotoko
would stay on top of the league table before the Christmas
break.
He also
touched on his recent good. He revealed that he is enjoying his
time in post. The 2007/2008 Best Goalkeeper surprisingly hinted
leaving football soon. “I like the game. I like football. I have
been training well; all of us train well. I am also thinking and
planning of other things because very soon, I will be leaving
football” said Soulama Abdoulaye.
