Preparations towards the start of concrete
works on the changing rooms in the Adako Jachie Training grounds
continue to receive support as some Circles and individuals who
made various pledges during the sod-cutting ceremony have
started redeeming them.
At the Odeneho Kwadaso secretariat last
Monday, members of Circle 127 of Kwamo in the
Ashanti
region concretized their words with action when they presented
fifty bags of cement to the club. Their donation comes to redeem
the pledge they made some time back.
During the presentation, they thanked
management and the playing team for the wonderful game they have
been displaying in the league so far.
The chairman of Circle 127, Solomon
Ofosu-Ware, continued that the presentation though was going to
be done anyway, had to be done earlier than scheduled because of
the call by the Projects Manager, George Amponsah-Duodu, on
supporters to hurry in the redemption of their pledges.
Speaking on behalf of the board member in
charge of projects, Wilberforce Mfum, the Projects manager,
George Amponsah Duodu thanked members of Circle 127 for their
quick response.
“I have always said that the Executive
Chairman, Dr. K. K Sarpong has so much good plans geared at
making Kotoko a very attractive and enjoyable club to support
and so we the fans have a responsibility to assist him in
achieving much success for the club”.
“Kotoko is all we have and it behoves on us
all to join hands to move the team to a higher level”.
In a related development, other individuals
have also been making cash and item donations towards the
construction work.
The latest donors to the project are
Augustine Koranteng, Circle 12, Tema (5 bags of cement) and
Kwabena Nti, the younger brother of Lord Zico Opoku Nti,
(Gh˘150).
