Our hard work is paying off –
Maxwell Konadu

Coach Maxwell Konadu has again attributed Kotoko’s impressive
performance in the Glo Premier League to the hard work being
done by his players and members of the technical team.
According to him, every member of the team is playing his role
well therefore the result being chalked by the Porcupines is not
so surprising.
Maxwell Konadu said this after guiding Kotoko to their third
successive win in the 4-week old league competition.
“I have been saying that it is hard work.
The playing body and the technical team, everybody is doing his
best” said Maxwell Konadu who also argued that his side would be
difficult to beat when they hit their best form.
“All the players are working hard. Everyone
wants to be part of the team. I am encouraged by that. We simply
have to continue working hard” he said.
On a day that two of his most potent
strikers scored to give the team the 2-0 win over Heart of Lions
thereby keeping Kotoko still at the summit of the league table
with 10 points, I asked Maxwell Konadu whether the absence of
his attacking duo – Nathaniel Asamoah and Ahmed Toure would not
create problems for him.
The coach first reiterated his point about
the solid efforts of the players before dismissing the
suggestion that his attacking machinery solely revolves around
Ahmed Toure and Nathaniel Asamoah.
He explained that striker Nafiu Iddrisu who
has scored twice in the team’s Wednesday trial matches is on the
waiting list.
“There will be no problem” argued Maxwell
Konadu. “We have Nafiu on the waiting list. Everybody is capable
of playing. It is just that Nathaniel and Toure are
distinguishing themselves. It does not mean that they are better
than those on the bench”.
