“Operation Berekum
Storm” underway
By: David Kyei
Date: 03-11-11
Kotoko travels to Berekum to play Arsenal in a crunchy 5th
week fixture of the 2011/12 Glo Premier League and from the camp
of the Porcupine Warriors, nothing is being left to chance in
the desire and quest to amass all the three points at stake.
As you read this piece, an advance team has
been in the Brong Ahafo region, Berekum to be precise, since
last Monday and their duty has been to monitor and acquire
information of intelligence value on Berekum Arsenal.
True to their responsiveness to duty, the
reconnaissance team has been doing a good work by passing down
information on Berekum Arsenal’s preparation towards Sunday’s
match.
The valuable information which also
includes videos on training sessions and other moves that could
be tagged as “ways and means” are also being tactically
deciphered and counter measures taken to them.
To ensure that the supporters are also
gingered to gunner all their physical, spiritual and
psychological support for the team, a three man delegation made
up administrative manager, Ben Nti, Supporters’ Coordinator and
public affairs manager, Listowel Bukarson and an unnamed
strategist have also been in the Brong Ahafo region since
Thursday to ensure that the ground was well prepared for
Kotoko’s victory on Sunday.
According to Ben Nti, they have been
holding both covert and overt meetings with Kotoko stakeholders
in the region and responses being received, he says, have been
good and assuring.
Describing the mission as an “Operation
Berekum storm”, Listowel says they are in the Brong Ahafo region
to support the advance team that has been performing
reconnaissance mission to ensure that the stage gets set for a
Kotoko victory.
