Two
new players who featured in Sunday’s second week, Glo Premier
League match against Ashantigold, Mohammed Yahaya and Michael
Anaba say they owe their impressive performance on the evening
to their coach Maxwell Konadu and have thus expressed their
profound gratitude to him.
Speaking to Kotoko Express in an interview after the match, the
two players thanked their technical handler for the opportunity
he handed them on Sunday. Apart from admitting that their good
show was also as result of hard work, the two players further
thanked their teammates for their unflinching support in the
match.
“I
thank God for the playing opportunity. I am also grateful to my
coach for the confidence he had in me” said Yahaya Mohamed whose
hard tackles and powerful long range shots earned him a lot of
admirers at the stadium. “It is also important to thank my team
mates because we played as a team, and with hard work, we did
our best to play to instructions” added Yahaya Mohammed.
Michael Anaba, who scored the third goal to nail Ashantigold
well into the coffin, pointed out that there was not much to
say. “I take this opportunity to thank the almighty God and my
coach for the chance he gave me. I do not have much to say; I
put everything down to the confidence my coach has in me and I
hope to improve” he ended.
