The desire by the Maxwell Konadu led
technical team to adequately prepare the team to win enough
matches to enable Kotoko win the 2011/12 Glo Premier League has
received a boost with the arrival of hard running Ben Acheampong
in Kumasi to begin training with his colleagues.
Ben Acheampong
has been absent from
training grounds and matches of the Porcupine Warriors since the
start of the season due to an injury he sustained whilst on
training tour with the Black Meteors in South Africa to prepare
for the last All African Games held in Maputo, Mozambique.
Looking healthy and strong, Ben Acheampong
breezed into the Baba Yara Stadium last Wednesday to first
report to his coaches and secondly to watch his colleagues play
a practice match against Okwahu United.
He told Kotoko Express briefly that he has
recovered from the injury that knocked him out of action for the
last three months.
“I have been cleared by my doctors and now
feel stronger and ready to play. I will therefore join my
colleagues for training and see what God will do for me from
there,” he said.
