The Executive Chairman, Dr. Kofi Kodua Sarpong, has told Kotoko
supporters that it is now important and fashionable that they
attend the club’s matches dressed and also clad in the now
available club replica jerseys and other paraphernalia.
He also says not only will the Kotoko
supporters be properly identified when the move around, but the
sale of the replica jerseys and other paraphernalia is one of
the many ventures the club has put in place to generate needed
revenue for the smooth running of the club.
The Executive Chairman made these statements
when he took advantage of the press conference to inaugurate the
three member committee of enquiry into the electoral impasse in
the Ashanti Regional Circles’ Council, to also officially launch
the sale of the Kotoko Paraphernalia.
Dr. Sarpong at the launch encouraged
supporters of the club to endeavor to at least have the two
replica shirts.
“If anything at all, I expect fans to have
at least the Home and Away replica shirts so that they properly
identify with the team when we play at home and also go away for
matches”.
“I want at this point to crave the
indulgence of Kotoko supporters to ask that as from our next
match which happens to be the first leg of the MTN Super Two Cup
match against Hearts at the Baba Yara Stadium on coming Sunday,
we all be attired in the replica shirts and also fly the
beautiful Kotoko flags at the stadium”.
“It is not a bad idea for Kotoko supporters
to now see the various Kotoko shirts as the official uniforms
for use when attending Kotoko matches”.
The items on sale include Polo Shirts,
V-neck Casual Wear, Replica Jerseys, Flags, Wrist bands, caps,
Car Window flyers, Key holders and soon to arrive Loafer shoes.
