At long last, the match
awaited Kotoko paraphernalia have arrived in Ghana and Kumasi to
be precise and it would be hitting the market this week.
Fans will
have the benefit from choosing from a variety of club
paraphernalia that have been authenticated by management for the
mutual benefit of the club and the producer, Champion Group.
Per the
variety seen by Kotoko Express, there are seven different
designs of Kotoko branded shirts, loafers (shoes), Flags, car
window fliers, air fresheners, caps and many other Kotoko
branded products which are to be cleared from the airport in the
coming weeks.
Speaking
to Kotoko Express, the Supporters Coordinator, George
Amponsah-Duodu, encouraged fans to patronize the products so as
to motivate management and the producers to churn out many other
interesting products for the followers of the club.
He
assured that there was enough of the shirts available for every
Kotoko fan and that fans should be on the look out to help
management to curb the menace of pirating the Kotoko brand and
logo.
“It would
be recalled that Kotoko for many months put out a circular
warning people who have been profiting from the Kotoko brand and
logo without authorization to put a stop to their activities
because the Kotoko logo had been registered and the franchise
rights given out to a company”.
“The
production of the these items therefore means that the warning
is now going to be enforced and we will not deal lightly with
any individual or group of persons caught in the illegal act”.
“The good
news is that the items have been produced in larger quantities
and so every supporter would have one or more to buy. Should it
even run out on the market, a mechanism has been put in place to
ensure that it will not take more that three weeks to get the
items back on the market”.
