Kotoko’s
pre-season training tour which is on-going here in Serbia has
been given a shot in the arms by the addition of another
technical hand to assist in the preparation of the team.
A Serbian
coach, Nebojsa Petrovic, who holds a UEFA Pro License has been a
long time friend of Bogdan Korak is offering his expertise free
of charge to assist his colleague.
He had
his first training session with the team on Tuesday and it was
clear from all indications that he knew his job and also had a
strong influence on Bogdan Korak.
Leader of
delegation as at the time of filling this report, Benjamin Nti
says Kotoko has not signed on any
additional coach apart from Bogdan Korak and Maxwell
Konadu and so he was going to hold discussions with Coach Korak
to ascertain the position of Coach Petrovic.
“I do not
want to sound too hard on the issue because as a leader I need
to take a closer look at issues before taking action”.
“Moreover, Kotoko is here in Serbia first to take advantage of
their football facilities to better our lot and so if someone is
offering a support for free, why shouldn’t we be happy and make
the full use of the opportunity offered”.
Speaking
to Bogdan Korak on the issue, he iterated that he chose to
invite his friend and colleague to assist him at training
because of the absence of his assistant, Maxwell Konadu who will
arrive here in Zlatibor on Saturday due to travel difficulty.
“It is
important that at training, our players get full attention. It
is therefore important that in the absence of my assistant, I
bring in somebody to come and help”.
“He is
doing it for free so it will not cost the team money at all,” he
added.
