Former Accra Hearts of Oak winger, Bernard Don Bortey’s dream of
playing for Kumasi Asante Kotoko could materialise after all,
as Kotoko intends to write officially to his club Aduana Stars
asking for his services.
The
gifted yet ‘notorious’ winger has been in the news lately after
declaring his intentions to feature for the Porcupine Warriors
in the 2011/2012 season.
Not
many Kotoko supporters have been enthused following the player’s
declaration and interest in Kotoko vis-à-vis the high
possibility that the management of Kotoko could secure his
signature if negotiations go well.
Kotoko fans continue to be divided on whether or not the
controversial footballer should be recruited and the debate is
likely to rage on.
But
with Kotoko’s Administrative and acting Public Affairs Manager,
Benjamin Nti confirming in an interview on Sunday that
management would be writing to Aduana Stars asking for the
player’s services it really looks like Don Bortey could be one
of Kotoko’s players next season.
