Circle 14 of Tarkwa shows love

Members
of Circle 14 of Tarkwa have once again demonstrated their love
and commitment to the club by donating quantities of drinkables
to the club as they trekked to their locality to play Medeama in
the last match of the 2010/11 Glo Premier League.

Having
made sure that the team had all the best of logistics in their
stay at Tarkwa, the members of the circle also in their
individual capacities doled out various gifts to some of the
players and to crown their period of goodwill, they presented
quantities of drinking water and energy drinks to the team.
Doing the
presentation, the chairman of the circle, Eric Boakye-Mensah in
the company of Mrs. Florence Koomson Braimah, Eric Tetteh and
many other circle members commended the players for their
performance in the league and hoped that they will continue to
improve on their performance as the team prepares for other
daunting challenges ahead of them.
Since the
presentation was done some two hours before Kotoko’s epic match
against Mediama FC, the chairman and his members made a special
appeal to the team.
“As you
are all aware, we the Kotoko supporters have made so much noise
about our capacity as the only club to defeat Mediama here in
Tarkwa. We therefore plead with you to go all out to win the
match for us”.
“We the
supporters do not take any winning bonus and so the only thing
you can do for us is to defeat them so that we can have the
bragging rights over them from now till our next match here
where we are sure to repeat the dose for them,” he asked.
Isaac
Amoako received the drinks and thanked the members of Circle 14
for their thoughtfulness on them.
“We very
much appreciate your good gesture and would like to assure you
that a new script would be written at the end of the referee’s
last whistle as we have only victory on our minds”.
In a
related development, the offices of the Supporters Coordinator
and also the Operations Manager, have sent their innermost
appreciation to members of Circle 14 of Tarkwa for the
marvellous reception they gave the team as they travelled into
the municipality to play Mediama FC.
According
to the Operations Manager, Ernest Owusu Ansah, aka ‘Peejay’, the
logistical support the members of the circle gave his outfit was
worth commending.
“We have
travelled the length and breathe of the country and not often do
we find circles coming out fully to make such provisions for the
team as Tarkwa circle has done”.
“I am
particularly appreciative of Mrs. Florence Braimah for single
handedly taking full cost and also cooking dinner for the team
after the match. By her singular effort, she saved the club
money in excess of GH˘200 that would have been paid if we were
to purchase dinner from a restaurant”.
“Her
gesture has been noted and would be told to the executive
chairman as well”.
On his
part, the Supporters Coordinator commended the fans for turning
up at the stadium in their numbers to cheer the team to victory.
“They
turned up so much that we clearly outnumbered the home team
supporters. It was no wonder that the players were gingered up
to put up the good fight that ensured the historic win”.
Finally,
they commended the indefatigable chairman of the Western
Regional Council, Mr. Nti, under who leadership the region has
curved a tradition for themselves as the only region that Kotoko
has not lost a competitive match in nineteen years and still
counting.
