Goalkeeper Soulama Abdoulaye has told Kotoko
Express that he would love to be given the chance to play in any
of the three remaining league matches before the curtains are
finally lowered on the 2010/2011 Glo Premier League.
The Burkinabe goalkeeper has trained without
playing competitive matches because his work permit (and
passport) which allows him to ply his trade in Ghana expired
therefore calling for a renewal which took many weeks to
complete.
The goalkeeper was among spectators who
watched last Wednesday’s league match at home to Ashantigold.
When approached at the Baba Yara Sports
Stadium, he said he now has his documents intact and that he
hopes he would be given what he termed as a “good chance” to
play.
He continued that even if he is not fielded
in league matches, he could get a chance in the MTN FA Cup
competition, where Asante Kotoko hosts Heart of Lions next week
in Kumasi.
The experienced former national goalie of
Burkina Faso thanked his admirers and supporters of the club for
their encouragements adding that he would not disappoint them
when he is fielded.
