Nearly two weeks after his return from
Israel, striker Edward Affum is feverishly itching for a quick
return to Coach Bogdan Korak’s regular team.
The 21-year-old goal poacher said he has not
lost any of the qualities that made him a potent marksman at his
former club Tema Youth, and which prompted the Kotoko leadership
at that time to recruit to the club.
He said he would love to be part of the
current regular side as soon as possible to strengthen the
attack and make Kotoko the team to beat in the ongoing Glo
Premier League.
Edward Affum, who joined Kotoko at the
beginning of last season made this disclosure when speaking to
Kotoko Express earlier this week.
“I want to be part of the regular side and
show the stuff I am made of” he said adding that injuries was a
bother to him towards the end of the first round but now he is
fit for action.
“I am back to take my place in the team. I
have been training well, running all over the place since my
return. I would want to be part of the regular team” Edward
Affum said.
He disclosed that he went to Yahuda Tel
Aviv, an Israeli Premier League side for medicals and could be
returning for a conclusive deal in the middle of the year.
He insisted that while he waits for that
time to come, the best thing for him to do is to train well and
secure a regular place in the team.
“I do not have to think of my trip outside
when the time is not yet due. I have to concentrate on my stay
at Kotoko; train well, get more playing time before anything
else” said the young attacker.
