Technical handlers of Kumasi Asante Kotoko
say they would not experiment with players when the Glo Premier
League restarts this week.
They say they have had enough of the trials
and experiments and have settled on the number of players who
would form the core of the team for the eleven remaining matches
of the season.
It has been more than a month since the Glo
Premier League went on break. Coach Bogdan Korak and his charges
have been playing a series of friendly matches during the break
and have tested the players well in various positions besides
rehearsing tactics.
The Serbian trainer and his assistant,
Prince Acheampong, have disclosed in an interview that the
experiments are finished.
“I have my team. I cannot tell you the names
but I have my team. My only worry is with Ahmed Toure who is
injured. Apart from him everything is well. My team is intact”
said Bogdan Korak through his interpreter, K. K. Aryeh.
“We will not be experimenting. Through the
friendly matches we have arrived at something and we will be
working around that” added Assistant Coach Prince Acheampong.
The Kotoko senior side on Sunday morning
engaged players of the reserve side in trial encounter to make
up for the MTN FA Cup match that was cancelled.
The senior side won by 2-1.
