Asante Kotoko technical handler, Bogdan
Korak has admonished his players not to be discouraged by the
fact that they lost 0-1 away to league leaders Berekum Chelsea
in last Sunday’s Glo Premier League fixture at the Golden
City
Park.
Emmanuel Clottey’s 27th minute strike on
target gave Berekum Chelsea a deserved lone goal victory in the
match that many had thought that the Porcupines could win to
make a good statement in their bid to climb the ladder of the
Glo Premier League.
Though the Porcupines fought quite well to
redeem their image, the grip of Berekum Chelsea was too firm to
be loosened.
Addressing his players on the team bus just
before they left the Golden
City
Park for their camping base in Kumasi, the Serbian
trainer observed that the defeat was painful but then the
players needed to focus on the remaining matches especially the
upcoming game against B. A. Stars on Wednesday at the Baba Yara
Sports Stadium.
“You do not have to be let down by the loss.
We have more matches to play. We have to focus on those ones,
learn from our mistakes and train well” Bogdan Korak through his
interpreter.
The coach and the team would have to work
hard enough to make amends not only against B. A. Stars but also
in all subsequent matches and thus charged the players to be
ready for a little more hard work.
