A total 53 players registered for the 2010/
11 season
By David Kyei
At the close of
registration last Wednesday, Fabulous Asante Kotoko F/C
successfully registered fifty-three players comprising
thirty-three professionals and twenty amateurs for the coming
season.
According to the
Special Advisor to the Executive Board chairman, Benjamin Nti,
the technical team decided to register the large number of
players for two important reasons.
“First, we have
to have players ready for the reserves league that the PLB/GFA
has introduced for the coming season and secondly, the twenty
amateurs registered are to serve as a pool of talent for
stocking the senior side over time”.
“We may not see
immediate results with the young players, but their quality
gives us hope that in the next season or two, they would be the
household names on the Ghanaian soccer scene”.
According to Mr.
Nti, Kotoko was able to go through the registration process
without sweat due to the beautiful partnership between himself
and the FA & International Relations manager, Kwame Baah-Nuakoh.
“Even though the
deadline was Wednesday evening, we had finished with our
registration at the early morning of the day so we were able to
get time to meet other interest groups of the club”

wow!interesting and i fink Prince Domfeh's name should have
been included among de reserve side..he is really well talented.

prince boateng is a good player ,so we shoud not let him go
free ,not lack of performance but because of plenty midfielders
we can loan him to another club for at least a season because
anything can happen.
Oti-Amparbeng Godwin,London
I told you so last year ,we must not dump a great tactician
coach SMITH Johnson!!. Last Sunday we have painful and hurtful
when Kotoko has failed to beat Kessaban in our home .It is quite
disgrace! I told you if no coach Smith ,Kotoko be a sufferer and
no win all the match this year!
I appeal to all players must brave to tell the management to
bring Smith Johnson back to Kotoko and help us. We need Smith
Johnson badly.
Aziz Owusu MTTCE(DBE 3)

table
Atem.. Sunyani
The coach brought on his players l wonder why Stephen
Owusu have to leave for Godfred Ofosu to stay. For Frank
Boateng...? Good luck Kotoko
Agyemang Prempeh kwame
My concern in relation to that of frank Boateng is
that although we do have individual playing skills, Frank has go
height that will indeed help the team to win air ball. i think
too that our only teacher in our team is every dedicated when
he's playing
Bright Owusu
I want to take this opportunity to let the management of
the club know that we appreciate all the good things they are
doing to the club . I just want them To stop the negotiations
between them and Toriks manager because they can buy better than
this... Ahunu bi pen nti na aboa aserewa ogye neba a na wayi
nani ato nkyen.
Immanuel Adjei Mensah, Obuasi
with this group of players, kotoko should play good
football and win the league

management. I miss a name in the registration list like Kodjo
poku jr. I want to if he is not for the season. thx.
Papa Yaw, Pankrono
why didn't the manager register FRANK BOATENG he is
batter than EMMANUEL BRUCE. how are GIDEON BAAH and STEPHEN
ODURO
Francis Awuah Fosu....Accra
I believe management is not only building a team to win
laurels in a season and then become desolate. kotoko is the club
of the century because of what our predecessors achieved. we
should all serve kotoko bearing in mind that posterity will
judge our stewardship.
Nana Kwasi Asante
Quiet good players but i think Frank Boateng should
have been included.
OSEI TWUMASI EMMANUEL (CARGILL GH. TEMA)
I think management will do well this season let us
give them our support, and I want to know why Kwadwo Poku from
under 20 name is missing from the list.
Asante Zacharia - Nkawkaw
I think the singings so far is good but ofosu appiah
as the central defender is nothing to right home about. there
must be another central defender to assist him.
ADADE JOSEPH -RSA
IT IS MY PRAYER THAT THE NEW MANAGEMENT OF THE CLUB
WILL DELIVER TO THEIR BEST AND BUILD A NEW STADIUM FOR KOTOKO
Bright Odei, Chicago
Where is Alex Asamoah. I read an article on ghanaweb that
he has returned from his spell in Korea and that he is rejoining
kotoko.
Kofi Yeboah, KSI
Please was Halidu registered?
J. K Appiah, Labone-Accra
Is frank Boateng on loan to Chelsea or he's been sold
outright. if so then we will be in serious mess
Bala Wagon, Kumasi Yalwa-Zongo
I totally agree with the registration of the players
and believe the Coach can deliver, but he should focus and
concentrate on his job rather than listen to rumour, other
wise...
Thanks
KUJO, KONONGO
I think with these players, Kotoko should take the league
2010-11.
Kofi Owusu Snr, DC
Why didn't the manager register Isaac Owusu. I
believe the central defender is a replacement for Ofosu Appiah.
Not that he's my name-sake but following his exploit in the just
ended premiership. I demand explanation from the Kotoko
management
Yaw Owusu-Ansah, Akosombo
Where are the foreign players Kotoko is reported to be nursing
the idea of registering? What happened, please.
Adu Michael Agyei. Ashtown
Please i want to know the condition of Gideon Baah and Stephen
Oduro. can they play for Kotoko this season?
Frank, USA
Where are Stephen Manu aka BA, Prince Amponsah, Alhassan Tawfick,
Isaac Osei, Amoako Agyemang, Baffour Gyan, George Asare etc
Amos, Kumasi
Looking at what is currently going on in our cherished club, I
can convincingly say that in the next two seasons Asante Kotoko
will bring back her glorious memories. Thus, I will call on all
stakeholders to increase their support to the Board and
Management to deliver the right results expected of them. Let
the Board and Management put in place an effective marketing
strategy that will be able to raise the needed attention, with
the resultant financial benefits. I wish to meet the Executive
Board Chairman of our club so that I can share some ideas with
him on the way forward for our darling club, Kumasi Asante
Kotoko. May God Bless the Kotoko fraternity.
Good Day. Amos.
