Edward Affum in Tunisia for trials

17-04-2010

As you read this, Asante Kotoko’s speedster and goal getter, Edward Affum, is on trials in the North African country of Tunisia with Tunis based Etoile Sportive du Sahel.

According to the letter inviting the player and signed by the general secretary of the Tunisian club, Affum is expected to be with them for a week starting 15th to 22nd April 2010.

When successful, he stands a chance of being offered a 2-year contract.

The player has been duly given the permission for the trip and his manager, Mr Yeboah of Tema is keenly observing events from the side.

In another development, striker Kwadwo Poku has been given the permission to visit his wife and their ten months old baby in Denmark.

Is too shameful to the management of Kotoko club. They should know better by now, Kotoko is NOT a young club.

Is the management really serious to make Asante Kotoko the team we used to be ? How can we win Africa trophy if we keep selling any good player to this North Africa teams ? Where is the vision ?

its a big bonus for the young who has vindicated to all the fabulous fraternity as a good player by all standards. lets pray he secures the lucrative deal in order to ply his career there.

Is team Kotoko serious about building a team to win in Africa as the North Africans are doing? you buy a player, 3 months on,  the prayer is sold. This system will never help the team. do we have competent people to run the team? there is no doubt people have lost interest in the Ghanaian league.

Should every player who comes to kotoko goes for trials abroad? I personally think players come to the club purposely to seek for greener pastures. The management of the team should be up and doing to stop this trend in the club. Boakye Omari, thanks for saying it all. Shame to my beloved club.

I want to ask the management if they are using the players for money or they want the team to go on
