How did you see the team's performance in the 1st Round of the season?

I think our defenders are too many. if we want start wining matches we must drop some of them and strengthen our midfield. we have 17 defenders,6 goalkeeper but only 8 midfielders. one will be correct if he says we are a defensive minded team. thats my opinion anyway

The performance of our darling club can best be described as WOEFUL. In fact, since I started following Kotoko in my childhood in the late 70s, this year has been the first time Kotoko has not been able to keep a clean sheet in so many consecutive league matches. They could only avoid conceding a goal incredibly in the 11th game! If they are to do well in Africa, this is an area that needs to be looked at. The Baba Yara Stadium which used to be a fearful venue for many a Kotoko opponent is now a hunting ground for even the least-resourced clubs in the league.

The coach and his technical assistants need to put their acts together. Quite often the 2nd half performances have been very poor and the technical staff have to take note of that. The other observation made was that the team could not score many goals in a match, hence anytime they conceded one, the direction of the game was towards a defeat or a draw. I may be wrong but I don't remember the team coming back from a goal to win a match. This is not the Kotoko which commanded such fear and respect on the continent and our management has to take note.

The first round of the glo premier league to me was so bad. Bad to the fact that
1.Kotoko had a large number of players which some of them were not suppose to be at Kotoko.
2.Paa Kwasi's ROTATIONAL POLICIES DID NOT WORK for him.
3. Referees decided to give us a hell officiating.
4. Finally the league was not exciting.

Kotoko did not perform well. We will need to do some soul searching to find out what is going on. We have the players and the coach is quite decent but we are not playing well and not winning. How come with all the strikers we recruited plus the existing ones, we can't score or score only one goal. Are we lacking a play maker, in the mode Assase J, Kofi Badu, John Bannerman, Opoku Nti, Francis Kumi etc? Lastly, could this be spiritual or internal sabotage? the supporters unions (circles) need to do more now to find the antidote or solutions

I'm not at all impressed with the performance of the club. They can do better than this. As a matter of fact my heart is broken right now as I type this message. Please step up your games. Those teams on top of us aren't any better than us. We've got the players, coach and whatnots. What is really the problem this time? I always visit the site with the hope of seeing better things, but I get disappointed any time. Please do something about it before things get out of hands. It is also our rights, as supporters, to be happy.

well, i wish to congratulate Mr. Paa kwesi the coach for the brave decision he made to stay with the team until now.Indeed he had gone through many frustrations and difficult times but he should never give up. I remember well that at time of Bashiru hayford his first season did not go well but rather the subsiquent season.
I think those players to sold may go now to help the coach focus on his team building to improve the teams position on the league table.
I think at the later moment there has been an improvement, and we need to fight more in the 2nd round.
Keep it up all stake holders.

i know that the performance was not the best but i think we the supporters should not compare kotoko to clubs who they think they are doing well. Because is the target of every player and team to get fame when playing against kotoko therefore much goes into it. Team building does not take magic to do so or as if we have forgetten chelsea,manchester united and Arsenal though with very xpensive players. i know that it shall definately be well to bring joy and laughter.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko - my darling african Footbal club of the century - did not perform well to the expectation of the numerous fans of Kotoko. In fact, the defence was porous and the attacking machinery lacked accurary. Kotoko played like an ordinary team unlike the Kotoko Team of the 1980,s. I think some of the players are not die-hard Kotoko fans and such players don,t want to die for Kotoko.
The playing body, the technical team, the management and the supporters should all put their hands on deck to help Kotoko to reach the apex of the league table when the second round resumes. Fabulous, still the African Best of the Century. Do not break our hearts, but make us proud of our Club.

There are lot of problems within Kotoko team which if you are not closed to the team you cannot identify them. I have had the opportunity to talk to some of the players and the following problems have been identified.

1. The Coach should stop featuring only prayers that are closed to him or those that he brought into the team.
2. Some prayers recruited are very good but the Coach keep on benching them for the fact that they are not his boys.

3. Friendly matches should be organised so that most of the benching prayers could be featured for the coach to identify the good ones.

4. The technical bench and the Management should stop the unnecessary recruitment of prayers. "Recruit any player that scores against Kotoko in a a match".

This attitude is killing Kotoko financially. Are some people benefiting?

thank God that the first round ended peacefully. i think we have a problem in our team. the first one is that, the coach should be consistant in his selections for matches. and the last one, we need a central or holding midfielder like the essien type. with this, our team will move on.
