The Adako Jachie Project:

Second field is 55% complete

By Jerome Otchere

21:02GMT, 21-01-2010

Very soon players, handlers of Kumasi Asante Kotoko including supporters who have for long wished for the day the club would start using her own training pitches will have their wishes granted.

According to Benjamin Nti, operations director, the second of the two training pitches being constructed at Adako Jachie near Kumasi is 55% complete.

Speaking in an interview with www.asantekotokofc.org, the Operations Director disclosed that the first pitch has long been completed and that the second pitch was nearing completion.

He however added that fencing of the two pitches and a further clearing of the immediate surroundings would have to be done before the team moves in.

“The coach has stated his desire to train there. We all share that desire but we have to do the fencing and some other work on the area to for instance prevent our balls from getting lost in the bushy area beyond our land-space,” he said.

This article was way back in January,2010. Has there been any change or new developments? Hmmm always the same mediocre attitude even look at this website. Old news item are always displayed and not reviewed and renewed. Where is the latest league table? My great club is ill.

it is good to have your own property to avoid any unforeseeable circumstance. I am grateful to the past management for making the development of the training field at Adoko Jarchie a reality. It is my prayer that the incoming Administration will also come to continuoun form where the past management left behind. God less the new management to succeed.

have u finish the project in adako jachie

Ofori ammanfo akwasi
It will very beneficial for us all to have training pitches as well as our own stadium.

Akwasi Afriyie
It have taken years to see this project come through but all the same thanks to all and sundry who have seen to the realisation of this dream. My problem is that Kotoko's problems have been that issue of managements. When outside we criticize the incumbent of buying too much but when we take office we forget our criticism and buy because at that stage we become player agents. Because of our selfish gains Kotoko is not seeing any improvement. How lovely it would be when after 20yrs majority of supporters will take-off hat when a past administration is mentioned.

JUNE , La-Apapa
It's good to hear that we will soon have our own training pitch, we want to see a Picture of the pitch. Please let see the Pictures on this site. thank you.

Tachie Prosper
We should not rush just because the coach wants to train there but make sure the future of the pitch is considered if not completely in order

APPIAH KUBI HAYFORD, UNIVERSITY OF GHANA, LEGON.
Getting our own training pitch is long overdue and i implore the stakeholders of those projects to work tirelessly, so that we can for once boast of our own training pitches.

Let all Kotoko faithfuls put away every bitterness and the "pull him down" approach for the club to put on its better cloth. Let us all cast our minds back to the 70's and 80's when our darling club and Tp Mazembe were dominating African soccer. They have resolved every differences and are currently the defending champions. What are doing as a club to also rise to this position again.United we stand, divided we fall.

AKOWUAH ANWELL SADAT
I THINK WE SHOULD FORGET ABOUT PAST AND FORGE FORWARD.I THINK THE ADAKO.PROJECT WILL HELP US FINANCIALLY.THANK YOU
